2010 Children's Heritage Mini Programs



Colonial Program Outline children 4-11 years old

Welcome to the Loudoun Museum !

Here's an outline of the kinds of things we can do during a Children's program.

  • Introduction- (if possible start in Garden)
  • Visit the Garden
    • Plants Uses/ (discuss home remedies)
  • Discovery Room
    Demonstration(Museum)
    • Dress up- Colonial Boy and Girl
    • What's in a Pocket?/ What's in Haversack?
  • Visit the Cabin
    • Lavender Bags (table on back porch?)
    • Write with a Quill (table on back porch?)
  • Colonial Toys and Games (Green Area near Cabin)

We can switch things around and shorten the length to accomodate younger children.

Cost per child $5, chaperones free. Please limit to 5-10 children.

Please contact me if you need a different day of the week or have a larger group.
